Wedding Photography » Stirk House » Clare & Dave
Last Thursday I woke with a start, way way way too early, looked out of the window and saw boring bland grey skies and smidge of drizzle. My heart sank a little as today was the day I was going to photograph Clare and Daves wedding at Stirk House near Clitheroe. A new venue for me and one I've wanted to go to for a long time and I longed for bright blue skies and some great weather. Anyway, up I rose knowing that I would be blessed with the typical british weather, got my gear together, had some breakfast, walked Radley and set about getting to the venue.
I arrived so early they were still having breakfast (which by the way smelt AMAZING) but it gave me chance to have a look around, and shoot a little. I said hi to Clare and began to shoot, the bridal preparations (which was great fun) despite the fact poor Ethan had chicken pox. Pressies were given out which the kids loved and then WHAM out came the sun.
My whole plan for shooting on an overcast day totally changed and I couldnt have been happier!
The wedding ceremony was brill and very emotional and Clare looked stunning in her ivory gown while Dave was rather chilled in his Edwardian cut blazer.
Overall it was a fab wedding day with loads of fun filled moments and also happened to be near Daves birthday, but of course I wont say how old he was.
Anyway, heres a few pics from the day and I've laid them out a little differently because its cool to scroll!
