Georgina & Jonathan - Wedding Photographer Yorkshire

Well, 7 inches of snow dropped on Friday night and I was a little worried about getting to Georgina and Jonathans wedding day in Oxenhope and Hebden Bridge.  I woke early, about 5am to get all my gear prepared and let georgina know I would be on my way so she wouldnt worry.  Travel problems asisde, what a great day and even better a snow wedding!

I arrived at Georginas house to be greeted by Georgina and her mum Jacky and that great buzz, which is totally unique to bridal preparations was alive in the house, whilst Dad cleared snow!

Georgina looked amazing in her long dress and veil and travelled to the Candle lit St Marys Church in Oxenhope by Rolls Royce.  The service was lovely and the Vicar, who was retired, had come back to marry them both on this special day.  As most photographers will agree, taking photographs in churches with moving subjects can be tricky at the best of times, but once all the artificial lighting had been turned off with nothing left but window and candle light to illuminate the church I was left amazed by the beauty of it all and thankful for the great Nikon Cameras and lenses that I use.

After moving on to the Leeming Wells hotel with some of the most amazing views in Yorkshire, Georgina and Jonathan were keen to take advantage of the snow and despite getting snow in her shoes got some great images looking out into the country.

All the best to both Georgina and Jonathan for the future and I hope you both have a great Christmas and Honeymoon.
